A group of protesters engaged in mass demonstrations against high tuition fees rose 25 tents at the monument of Admiral Nelson at Trafalgar Square.

Nearly 5,000 people participated in the large-scale protest, which was diverted and separated from the camp of the protesters “occupied” in front of the cathedral “St. Paul”. The strong police presence aimed to prevent a repeat of the violence during the student protests last year. It held youths away from the sights of the capital, including Bank of England and the London Stock Exchange.
